About Us

The Behaviour Analysis of Language and Cognition-International (BALC-I) website aims to provide a space in which individuals interested in the conceptual and experimental analyses of language and cognition from a behaviour-analytic perspective can interact and share their work in a collaborative and cooperative manner. The primary focus of the website is on lab-based research but any such work that connects directly with applied concerns is particularly welcome. The website is not, therefore, tied to any particular organisation or specific behavioural theory or account of language and cognition. Events such as conferences and workshops that speak to this general interest may be announced here, but resources (or links to them) such as pre-prints, software, workshop/course slides etc., will only be posted if they are freely available for download and use. The general theme of this website, therefore, is to draw behavioural researchers out of our respective research silos to help foster a stronger and more coherent tradition in the study of language and cognition, within the science and practice of behaviour analysis.
